Position : Perl Developer
Location : Boston, MA
Type : Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design, implementation and unit testing of our core product components
- Work closely with quality engineering and operations to test and deploy product enhancements and issue resolutions
- Work with engineers, Services, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop scalable products that meet functional and non-functional requirements on schedule
- Design and build systems to increase performance and scalability of a SaaS solution
- Write scripts to monitor and automate processes
- Document current and future configuration processes and policies
- Think creatively and work independently, while interacting with product and engineering teams
- Define and document current and future configuration processes and policies
- Troubleshoot issues with application, technologies and infrastructure
- Directly responsible for service reliability
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and related fields
- 5+ years of Perl development
- Web Service experience
- PL/SQL development experience with Linux/Oracle Database a big plus
- Proven ability to plan, build and maintain large, reliable, scalable infrastructure
- Extensive experience with HTTP, security, storage, virtual machines
- Experience automating systems maintenance tasks
- Good written and oral communication skills
