Job Title: Oracle DBA

Location:  Providence, RI

Duration: 3-6 months

* Need to be GC or Citizen *

 

Mandatory Skills:

Manage all aspects of physical database administration including schema management, security set up, installations, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, space management, performance tuning and capacity planning. Support application teams and their projects to enhance, trouble shoot, and performance tune. Explore SQL programming for query performance improvements.

 

- Supports Oracle Databases in enterprise Production and Test environments.

- Analyzes, designs, creates and implements databases, including access methods, device allocations, validation checks, backups and security.

- Supports the design and implementation of new database environments, and redesign of existing database environments.

- Designs data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas.

- Assists in systems planning, scheduling and implementation.

- Installs, upgrades and tests complex database software.

- Develops and implements database recovery plans and procedures.

- Performs Database Export & Import

- Analyzes the performance of Databases and recommends tuning and application changes.
