Hello Brij, again it was nice to talk with you yesterday... and Daphne, thanks for also writing in response to Brij's questions.
As I explained to Brij, while I have learned to make web sites myself, the system I use is not even available to new people any more!
However, the Internet offers a wealth of free information if you know how to use http://www.Google.com and http://www.YouTube.com to search for it.
There are also many information products for sale that might be helpful, but if you are a complete "newbie" and have a hard time typing very fast, it's going to be more difficult.
While I've tried multiple multi-level marketing types of programs, I'm not really building any at this time. Some tips if you look for one would be to only work with established companies at least a few years old. I've worked with several start-ups and the hype is very big about getting in on the ground floor, etc., but if the company is not managed well or is even so successful that it grows too fast, it can cause big problems and will probably fail. Look for a product(s) or service that is unique and not easily purchased at a local store, but only through the company.
Choose a sponsor who offers extra training and is willing to work with you. It's okay to "sponsor shop" once you find a company you like, and join with the best leader you can find in that company, even if it's not the original person who introduced you to the company. That is one BIG lesson I've learned!
You do that by using Google.com to search for web sites by members in that company...
For instance you would search Google.com by typing the company name plus words like team or training or even team training at the end of the company name. Try all 3 ways. Look for leaders who provide team training sites and call and talk to someone BEFORE you consider letting them be your sponsor. One thing I've heard, though, is even if someone has a large training site, they may not respond to your attempts to contact them... that's why it's so important to try first, BEFORE joining them. You want to find someone that is willing to work with you.
If I ever do find one again, I will keep you two in mind. I've always provided training sites for my team in whatever MLM I've been in, and always reply to emails and phone calls.
As far as learning to build your own web site -- today, there are many web sites that allow you to build your own site for free. Search on Google.com for terms like free web site builder or free site builder. They are usually pretty much point and click and typing in your content and should have tutorials on how to use them.
If you need to edit photos, there is a free program called Gimp (search for it on Google.com). I have not used it because I own PaintShopPro (similar to Photoshop), but I've heard many people say the free Gimp program is also similar to Photoshop. You can probably find many free tutorial videos on YouTube.com for using it, or even on it's own web site.
In fact, you can find free tutorial videos on YouTube.com for MANY things you might want to learn. Just try searching for your topic along with the word tutorial after or the words how to in front of what you are interested in.
Anyway, I wish you all the best. It's a daunting task. I've been at this for 10 years now, and my background is in word processing and desktop publishing, so that gave me a head start on the skills needed to get around the Internet a bit more easily.
I do have some basic "How To" info at one of my sites, http://www.Internet411Net.com -- there may be something there you might find useful, especially the page on learning how to copy and paste (if you do not know how, yet, that is ESSENTIAL).
I am available to hire to make lead capture pages and small custom web sites. My info on that is at http://www.UniqueLeadCapturePages.com ... I try to keep it very affordable. However, I don't WRITE the content for the page/site. Instead, I work with my clients and they write what they want their web site or lead capture page to say and send it to me, and then I can make it "look good" and add suggestions if I can think of any to make it better.
Here is one BIG tip for LOW-COST outsourcing for MANY things.... I found a site called http://Fiverr.com where you can hire people to do all kinds of things for only $5.00. (There are other sites very similar, but this is the only one I've actually used so far.)
I've created some simple "gigs" (what each micro job is called) so that I can turn my earnings there around and buy other gigs to help my sites do better. My profile page there that lists my offerings is http://www.fiverr.com/users/lauriek
Once you have a site, you need to get links from other sites to your site (backlinks) so that Google thinks it's more important and it may show up closer to the first page (and eventually, hopefully, ON the first page) when people search for topics with words related to it (keywords)....
So, the gigs offering high pr backlinks, or .edu and .gov backlinks are powerful to get for any site you own. But bookmarking links, article marketing links, and profile links, blog comments links are all good, too. (Only purchase "handmade" blog comments, because some people use "spammy" software to make comments that are irrelevant to the blog post topic that can end up being bad for your site.)
This is a HUGE topic, and I am probably confusing you more than helping, but as you learn more about Internet marketing and begin to understand all the things you could do yourself to make your sites do better, it will be good to know about http://Fiverr.com so you can cheaply get these things done much faster than you can do them yourself!
For instance, article writing and submitting the articles to directories is very powerful because you can link to your site in the last paragraph called the "author resource box" which is like a mini ad. Some services available on Fiverr allow your links within the article itself, too, but many article directories like http://ezinearticles.com (the biggest one) do not. You must read the Terms of Service for each directory you submit articles to and follow their rules.
If you, like me, hate to write, you can have one, or even more than one, article(s) written for $5 at Fiverr.com! Some gigs might even include submitting the article to directories for you, or posting it on their blog or even an entire network of blogs. Beware, some writers you find there may be better than others, but I think a lot of good writers who are getting into ghostwriting get their start there.
But from the Home page you can click on each category to see the kinds of things others offer. I suggest you then click the "Ratings" link in each category to see the highest rated gigs -- the ones that have gotten the most good feedback.
You can also use the Search field to narrow down your search. For instance, I have learned to search for backlink gigs by searching for these words all together: link ping rss (then also click the Ratings link to sort the results)
That's because not only do they build backlinks for you, but they ping them and then create RSS feed URL's of the URL's of the web pages where your links are placed and submit the feeds to RSS directories. I barely understand this myself, but I know enough to have learned that there is a higher chance that my backlinks will actually be counted by Google and thus actually help my site.

You just need to be a little creative in your thinking, and you can combine search words to narrow down to what you want.
NOTE: To see results from backlinks can take weeks or even months... it's something you have to do steadily over time until your site comes up on page 1 of Google for your keywords. I strongly suggest you do not purchase more than one or two backlink types of gigs a week (or maybe 3 if different types of backlinks) -- if you get too many backlinks TOO fast, Google can actually PENALIZE you for that. It's a delicate balance!
Anyway, I'm sorry that I simply cannot teach you everything about Internet marketing in an email...
