The SMS texting infrastructure (within Mobility Services-Services and Solution Center) is looking for a strong JEE developer to assist with development and support of a new set of web services. These web services will enable business applications (such as ABS, State Farm Bank, and SFPP) to send and receive SMS text messages from customers. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively and adapt to change quickly.
Key skills needed for this position:
- Web Service Development
- EJB development
- MDB development
- Knowledge of State Farm_s queuing infrastructure
- Knowledge or willingness to learn tools and architectural styles not widely used at State Farm (Spring, Jersey, RESTful Web Services)
- Knowledge of agile development practices (e.g. Scrum) as well as agile engineering techniques (e.g. Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration)
