Job Title:        Sr. Network Architect
Location:        Dallas, TX

Duration:       6 months

Job Description:  

Role and Responsibilities:

The Network Architect will provide full network architecture services in support of CSC's cloud efforts.  Position requires detailed design and documentation skills, as well as hands-on configuration of network infrastructure. Excellent documentation and communication skills are required for this position.  Should have 8+ years of relevant network infrastructure and virtualization experience.

 

Preferred Skills

Position requires a deep knowledge of Cisco devices and networking protocols

Protocols: OSFP, BGP, STP, MPLS, VRF, MP-BGP VPN, VPN routing/forwarding Foundational knowledge of IEEE 802.x standards

Routers: Cisco 6500 series, ASR, Nexus 100v, 5k, 7k

Firewalls: McAfee, Fortinet, Cisco

Others: F5 load balancers, Citrix Netscaler

 

Certifications:

CCIE (desired), CCNP

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Masters degree in computer science, management information systems or related field preferred
• Twelve or more years of experience in networks, LAN/WAN, or management information systems
• Experience working with computer systems and their use
• Experience working with network systems, data or voice
• Experience working with networking principles, data or voice
• Experience working with network software and hardware, data or voice
• Experience working with proprietary software and hardware
• Experience working with and leading the development of new business

Other Qualifications:

• Project management skills
• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of new databases
• Skilled in time, priority and task management
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Leadership ability to effectively lead a team or teams
