Must have strong Spring MVC and Struts skills as well as extremely strong communication skills, they need to be comfortable working in a collaborative environment. 

Job Description

The primary role for this individual will be to serve as a dedicated resource to a portfolio team working on project and operational support activities. In this role, the Software Developer will responsible for solutions in Web Application Development, Maintenance, and Support. 

Major Job Responsibilities

·         Analyze, design and code using Spring MVC.

·         Support existing applications developed using Spring and Struts. 

·         Troubleshooting and documenting web application problems for a knowledge base.

·         Work on moderately complex development assignments without much guidance; Produce and review technical documentation and Java code.

·         Interact across functional boundaries.

Essential Qualifications

·         The individual must be detailed-oriented and possess strong technical skills, effective interpersonal skills and advanced problem solving ability.

·         Expertise with application development tools (e.g. Eclipse, NetBeans, IDEA.)

·         Expertise with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle 10g)

·         Strong organizational and time-management skills are required. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently.

·         Must be a self-starter who uses good judgment and initiative to undertake activities with minimal supervision. Ability to work alone or within a team environment.

·         Strong oral and written communication skills.

·         Experience writing Unit tests.

·         Experience using SVN source control.

 Desirable Qualifications

·         Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. jQuery, YUI) is a plus.

·         Experience with Agile software development methodology.
