Job Title : Business Analyst

Location : Philadelphia, PA (Need local or nearby who can go for F2F Interview)

Duration : 6+ Months Contract

The client is looking for someone who has solid Cable, telephony experience.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will utilize your expertise with information systems and development methodologies such as SDLC, Waterfall, RUP and/or Agile in order to guide information systems through the development cycle while adhering to all functional and business-system requirements as specified by the client.

Business Systems Analyst functionality will include: 

Creating, configuring, customizing and maintain requirements  for a single complex or multiple smaller projects using an appropriate supporting toolset.

Interviewing clients to determine project specs and eliciting  requirements using a standard SDLC methodology.

Authoring and publishing quality documentation covering all  functional and business-system requirements.

Preparing use case for each project that documents process  loads, different process paths and system applications.

Serving as liaison between various team members, including  Developers, the Project Manager, the Quality Assurance team and the client.

Validating the results of the testing process to trace back to  requirements.

Engaging in change control in order to prevent project "scope creep".

Providing status reports on projects and deliverables.

Coordinating and assisting in system and user acceptance  testing if needed.

Assisting in translating business requirements into technical  specifications.

Providing status reports on projects and deliverables.

Coordinating and assisting in system and user acceptance testing.

Analyze business and technical requirements, as well as data  warehouse data models, to understand the detailed data management requirements.

Collaborate on the global data architecture design and  planning for the physical structure and implementation of data warehouses and data marts.

Work with ETL developers and data analysts to identify, design  and implement solutions for extraction and integration of data to and from data warehouses and data marts for the purposes of reporting, decision support and analysis.

Assist Data Modelers in understanding the documented  requirements and assist as needed in the creation of the physical data warehouse database schema(s), data security and protection, managing performance, performing backups/ restores, and archiving data.

Skills: 

Microsoft Excel knowledge Required.

Business Analysis Discipline and Practices Required.

Sharepoint 2007 Design Expert Desired.

SQL knowledge Desired.

Data Analysis Expert Desired.
