Position  :  NetBackup Admin
Location : Lexington, MA
Duration : 1 year contract
 
Must Haves:
4+ years NetBackup administration 
Must have administrated NetBackup in large enterprise environments (3 locations

outside of boston with 3 datacenters)
Windows 2000/2003/2008
Working knowledge of Unix CLI for the Netbackup install clients
Report  Building in Ops Center  (NOM/OPS)
Working knowledge of Data Protector Migration (understand its functionality)

PLUS: 
Familiar with Cisco and Brocade SAN switches
Documentation in Visio
Ability to write SQL queries
3 par storage arrays
Netapp
DataDomain

Role
This position will be lead on a team that is migrating 3 environments into one. The first

stage will require a lot of documentation and building reports. They will research current

backup windows via NOM/OPS reports-marking how long each system takes to backup

and assist the manager in scheduling the backup of those systems. Netbackup policy

renaming and standardization-including location of server and product or development

testing. They will assist in creating new policies and standardizing processes. Stage 2

will be the implementation. They will be creating a host of new policies and test them

extensively as they migrate the current Data Protector backup environment to

Netbackup. There will be some physical cable movement and documentation lead by

their senior Storage Admins.
