Position: Senior Cognos Developer/Analyst

Location: Sunrise, FL 33323

Length: 6 month contract

Interview: phone interview

Rate: 50/hr

Start: Monday, June 16th

MUST HAVE great communication skills!

 

MUST HAVES:

7+ years of experience with Cognos development

MUST KNOW Transformer (building cubes) and Framework Manager (building queries) back and front!

Experience with all 3: Report Studio, Analysis Studio, & Query Studio

3+ years working experience with Cognos including administration, Framework Manager, Transformer, and report building.

5+ years working with reporting and cube technology

5+ years of creating SQL queries and building reports off of SQL databases

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts

Experience providing Project Management guidance

Microsoft Office

 

PLUSES:

Previously worked in a Healthcare environment

Understanding of Accounting concepts

Knowledge of Cognos Planning or TM1 systems

DAY TO DAY:

Our client is looking for a senior Cognos developer/analyst. The company's goal is to provide them with a tool to handle their reporting needs and ensure they are comfortable and confident in using it. You will work with users and financial analysts to help deliver reports and dashboards to satisfy each department's needs. More so, you will provide overall administration, configuration, security, and maintenance for the Cognos environment. This will include creating, modifying and maintaining Transformer models and cubes. You should have experience with alternate drill-down, partitioning, and custom views. You will also be asked to develop and maintain Framework Manager models and packages based on user needs. Consequently, you'll produce reports and dashboards using Analysis Studio, Business Insight Advanced, and Report Studio. These responsibilities will include distributing reports via email using blasting or sending exception reports using Event Studio.
