Title:  Business System Analyst Finance

Location:  Chicago, IL

Duration:  3 Months+

Start Date: Immediate

Finance Specific –

Has experience in conducting analysis with expertise in different business areas, application wide analysis and proposal of solutions. Assembles, analyzes, and represents customer business requirements. Performs feasibility analysis, scopes project, recommends alternative solutions, project strategy, and deliverable prioritization.
Responsible for high level implementation plans, data and process models, cost estimating, cost benefits analysis, and return on investments. These resources are also able to facilitate workshops such as JAD, RAD, and DRP sessions, etc. Business Analysts should also be able to perform as a team leader when necessary. 

Additional Skills: Candidate must have a strong background in business analysis and requirements gathering. Candidate should be able to quickly ramp up (less than 2 weeks) and become an effective contributor to the project team.

Domain/Industry Knowledge
- Knowledge of securities investments is a must.
- Knowledge of securities investment processes for trading and its associated accounting is a must.

Business Analyst/Requirements Analyst Skills –

·         Overall responsibility for gathering, documentation and obtaining sign off of requirement documentation for assigned project deliverables

·          Candidate should have some practical experience with industry standard requirement methodologies/practices

·          Candidate should have strong skills and have techniques for organizing requirements in the requirement documentation.

·         Candidate should understand traceability of requirements from the requirements documentation to testing documentation and technical implementation documentation.

·          Candidate should have strong listening, interviewing/questioning, analytical, written, oral and organization skills

·          Candidate should have strong skills on how to elicit the business need and transform that into detail requirements

·          Candidate should have experience on how to size up the technical complexity for implementing requirements

·          Candidate should understand how to remove/minimize ambiguity and vagueness from business requirements

·          Candidate will be required to submit a sanitized (purged of proprietary system or company names) sample of a data mapping or business requirement document written by the candidate him/herself
