Technical Skills & Knowledge:  

Main Responsibilities:

 

- Designing, developing and deploying J2EE applications to integrate enterprise systems.

- Designing, developing and deploying customizations of a J2EE packaged software to meet new requirements.

- Consuming, developing and implementing web services.

- Programming with JAVA (Multi-Threading), J2EE, Servlets, JSP/JSF, EJB, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, PL/SQL, JUnit, Maven/Ant, UML, SOAP, XML.

- Programming with Web 2.0 technologies.

 

Qualified Candidates will meet or exceed the following requirements:

 

- 8+ years Java/J2EE experience, 2+ years of J2EE Architect.

- Solid understanding of EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) options and their cost/benefits.

- Demonstrated experience in using Message Oriented Middle ware (JMS) to integrate systems.

- Ability to review and select technologies and products for their applicability to projects and initiatives.

- Demonstrated experience developing architectures in support of complex business application suites.

- Excellent communication abilities - written and oral.

- Must be hands-on and be ready to own a significant portion of the development work.

- Strong understanding of database (SQL), authentication, security and other infrastructure technologies and ability to leverage them for successful system implementation.

- Extensive experience consuming Web Services (SOAP, XML-RPC, REST) in integrating enterprise systems.

- Act as team lead and mentor new team members on various technologies as necessary.

- Strong leadership and project/time management skills.

- Capable of leading technical analysis, database and program design activities for web application projects.

Tools - Demonstrated proficiency in the below will be highly regarded:

 

Database - Oracle, IBM DB2, Sybase

Web Application Server - Tomcat, JBoss, IBM WebSphere

Web Servers - Apache, IIS

Web Browsers - Internet Explorer, Safari

 

Education:

Requires BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.

Master or other technical advanced degree preferred.

Other Desirable Skills:

Financial industry background plus. Intellectual property licensing experience preferred
