Job Description

Client is currently recruiting a Business Analyst to join their Product Management team.

The qualified individual will be responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and product development teams.

Responsibilities to include:

• Elicit, analyze, and document IT Operations & Support requirements, identifying and communicating gaps between operational requirements and technical capabilities.

• Perform analysis to determine IT Operations requirements at a system, product and feature/functionality level, as well as for financial industry market data feeds (CTS, CQS, OPRA)

• Create written operational requirements and process enhancement requests and work with multiple departments (operations, development, and product & project management) to agree on deliverables, priorities and create project plans.

• Write and maintain functional documents and specifications for new or modified operations, as well as internal operational documentation not limited to training and operational procedure documents.

• Work directly with customers, business development, product managers and legal on new business initiatives.

• Participate in identifying user requirements by working on teams with a number of key individuals representing business and technology.

• Document, communicate, and review requirements with product and project team members and sponsors.

• Manage deadlines and work to meet feature requirements and customer expectations.

Required Experience

• Experience in systems analysis, engineering design, communications applications, database management, and data storage and retrieval methods.

• Must have previous experience with product management lifecycle and writing business requirements.

• Working knowledge of system design, architecture and application programming/analysis.

• Previous knowledge of the financial industry feeds is a plus (OPRA, CQS, CTS)

• Understanding of the FIX financial messaging protocol a plus.

• College or Graduate degree in Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or Economics.
