Data Warehouse Project provides decision support information to client management, statistical research staff, and statewide service providers. Data is taken from mainframe and server-based OLTP systems (e.g. the CARES system), is transformed via COBOL, PL/SQL, and Informatica, and loaded into Oracle star schema databases. Data is made available to end-users using Business Objects Client/Server and Web OLAP applications. Project duties will be to function primarily in a quality assurance role as a system tester, support the user community in user acceptance testing and the general use of the data warehouse, and develop ad hoc reports as needed. Strong batch testing and report development skills are required. Experience working in a mainframe environment is required. The knowledge of File-Aid and SPUFI in mainframe environment is required. The knowledge of DB2 and COBOL is not required, but is preferred. Experience with Informatica, PL/SQL and Business Objects is desirable, but not required. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with business knowledge of Wisconsin's TANF and Economic Support programs (e.g. Wisconsin Works, Wisconsin Shares, Food Share) and familiarity with State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures, and development standards.
