Position requires: -

A knowledge of application component architecture design, such that the engineer can partition solutions into subcomponents with each subcomponents aligned to appropriate hardware platforms with appropriate performance.

- Detailed knowledge of multiple OS, with strong understanding of hardware platforms (Sun, IBM, Intel).

- Thorough understanding of load balancers/content switching/NAT/FW rule sets.

- Hardware reference performance metrics, understanding of spec benchmarks for reference platforms.
