Responsibilities and Qualifications

•             Minimum 10+ years experience as an Oracle DBA. Experienced in Oracle 10g/11g installation, upgrades, and patching.

•             In depth technical expertise, and implementation experience in Oracle technologies such as RAC, ASM, RMAN, DATA GUARD, Grid Control etc.

•             Candidate should possess strong knowledge of overall database architecture and information life-cycle, and should be experienced with database optimization tools and methods, data modeling, data replication strategies, and database conversion procedures.

•             Must be able to clone databases, conduct database refreshes, back-ups and recovery using RMAN and provide guidance to other personnel.

•             Assist developers in performance and tuning queries & SQL.

•             Candidate should be experienced in monitoring and troubleshooting database systems using Oracle Grid Control, and developing and maintaining scripts.

•             Conduct performance tests and ensure performance to support a large number of users and processes.

•             Candidate should also possess excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.

•             Expertise in database and query tuning

•             Excellent oral and written communication skills

•             Proficiency in establishing and enforcing standards

•             Proactive, can-do attitude

•             Detail Oriented

 

 

Desired Certification

•             Oracle Certified RAC Expert

•             Additional Product Knowledge Desired

•             Knowledge of DB2 iSeries/MS SQL Server

•             Oracle Golden Gate

•             Oracle Advanced Security (ASO)
