Job Description:

Our direct client is seeking a Data Warehouse DBA/Developer to participate in their world renowned Netezza Data Warehouse, which is multi-terabytes in size. This would be a 7-month contract role.

 

This DW DBA/Developer is responsible for designing and developing new tables and load processes. Responsibilities include data modeling, ETL design, Job Stream design, and documentation.

 

Expertise in the following areas is required:

 

2+ years DBA experience with a large Data Warehouse (Netezza, Oracle, Teradata)

2+ years ETL Tool experience

2+ years UNIX (AIX, Linux) experience

2+ years Unix Shell Scripting (Korn/Bash) experience

Data Modeling

Star Schema Database Design

SQL

 

Design and implementation based on established standards

 

Preferred Skills:

 

UNIX (AIX/Linux)

Unix Shell Scripting (Korn/Bash)

SAS DIS (Data Integration Suite)

Erwin ER Diagramming Tool

AutoSys Job Scheduling Tool

 

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
