Sr Level Network Engineer

Rate: all inclusive

We have an immediate need for a Network Engineer for a 3 month contract engagement.  Individual must be able to start immediately and have either consulting or former consulting experience.

Responsibilities include:
 

• Analyzing, designing, testing, and evaluating network systems such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), firewalls, voice systems (Cisco Call Manager)
• researching and recommending data communications and voice system hardware and software
• monitoring the network and production systems to ensure sufficient capacity and security
• planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures and redundancy options
• performing advanced troubleshooting
• maintaining and allocating network and server hardware and software
• leading and/or participating in various projects
• operating with minimal supervision

 Requirements
 

• Minimum of 5 years working in a Cisco Network Environment
• proficient in routing and switching technologies and protocols (eigrp, ospf, BGP, MPLS, QoS, firewalls)
• working experience with Cisco Voice Technologies preferred (Call Manager, Unity, UCCX, Gateways)
• experience with switching in a VMWare Environment a plus
• excellent oral and written communication skills
• ability to work work in a fast pace environment
• ability to articulate technical information to non-technical employees
• excellent problem solving abilities and detail orientation
• off hours work required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• CCNP or greater is preferred
