Position  : .NET Developer

Location : Houston, TX

Duration :  6 months contract

Job Responsibilities:

 

• ·         Incumbent must be able to quickly adapt and perform well within a time-constraint environment with specific deadlines that are due within a three month period. 
• ·         Application Development - Incumbent must contribute to all aspects of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• ·         Development using Microsoft .NET development suite; troubleshooting, debugging, designing, developing, modifying, unit testing, and supporting code;
• ·         Interpreting documented and verbal business requirements, all aspects of writing and recording technical design requirements, and all aspects of translating and implementing documented requirements into executable code product (see SDLC above);
• ·         Providing customer and IT support for all developed code during user testing phase, working with customers and software users to address deficiencies, fixing bugs, and supporting testing process including scripting, debugging, troubleshooting, and cooperating with user during the development project;
• ·         Working with other developers, team leads, and Project Managers to facilitate project processes, including utilizing code management and bug/issue tracking tools and processes to help facilitate project management

 

Skills Requirements:

 

• ·         5 years of application development experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
• ·         3-5 years of experience development distributed applications utilizing ASP.Net,  .NET/C# , Visual Studio 2005 languages
• ·         Experience with Microsoft technologies; working knowledge of Microsoft-supported development shop is a plus
• ·         Skilled 3-5 years of PL/SQL development; MSSQL Server 2008 preferred
• ·         Experience with reporting development using SQL Server 2008 and SSRS
• ·         Experience with presentation GUI software; Infragistics preferred.
• ·         Have architecture and legacy systems experience
• ·         Must display proven skills with interpretation of business requirements and documentation of technical requirements
• ·         Must possess excellent customer service skills both with internal and external customers; must possess the ability to work with business users and customers to receive requirements for their application development projects
• ·         Must have experience with developing in a project life cycle-driven environment such as PMBOK, PMO, or other standard project management methodology

 

Education: CIS degree or equivalent experience
