Position: JAVA J2EE Admin

Location: Collegeville, PA

Duration: 6 Months

Capacity Requirement Analysis

Identify the capacity requirements for the proposed new application which can be hosted on Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic and JBoss.

Determine current capacity utilization in Solaris and Linux servers.

 

JBoss Administration

Installing and configuring JBoss 4.3, 5.0.1 and 5.1 which includes

Creating clusters, server instances

Proficient in configuring the JBoss and handling issues related port conflict, Sucker password etc

Configuring Datasources

Creating JMS modules and distributed queues

Configuring SSL and AJP connector

Configuring LDAP authenticators

Deploying the applications

Strong experience in fixing performance related issues.

 

Apache Administration

Installing and configuring Apache web server

Familiar with DSO modules

Through knowledge in JBoss and WebLogic plug-in configurations

Tuning Apache server for performance

 

Single Sign On (SSO)

Experienced in enabling SSO in Apache and JBoss servers

Exposure to Oracle Access Manager (OAM) or Tivoli Access Manager (TAM)

 

Unix

Strong experience in using commands to perform required activities

Proficient in writing shell scripts and creating cron jobs

 

Hardware Load balance

Good knowledge on hardware load balancing

Familiar with CSS load balancer

 

Performance Engineering

Hands on experience in profiling and monitoring tools like Jprobe, PerformaSure, Sitescope and Introscope

Identify bottlenecks at application, web as well as application servers and OS level, troubleshoot and tuning

Troubleshoot Out of memory errors, analyze Garbage Collections

Experience in tuning JVM Heap size, Threads, Connection pool and EJB pool size

Exposure to fixing java code related issues
