Job Description:

*** F2F Required after Phone Screen. Locals or nearby consultants highly preferred ***

Duties:
. Reports to the Data Architect
. Coordinate with OMPP DSS Manager to ensure data models support reporting needs
. Collaborate with staff to gather business requirements
. Support with data assessments on data content and structures
. Document data definitions, data flow diagrams, data models, and other metadata
. Create standards and policies for data security, data quality, data migration, and data integration that follow industry best practices
. Assist in enforcing standards and methodologies for data exchanges among State departments and contracted vendors

Requirements:
. 5 or more years of experience in data analysis and data modeling
. Extensive experience with data migration and integration
. Proficient in documenting metadata
. Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle
. Use of data modeling techniques on health care data (e.g., enrollment, claims, financials)
. Ability to analyze data structures and make recommendations for improvement or redesign
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business staff
. Experience with ER diagramming applications
. Attention to detail

Preferred:
. Experience working in small groups on large enterprise projects
. Demonstrated use of SDLC, Agile,or project management methodologies
. BI/DW Certification a plus

Education:
Degree in Computer Science or other BA/BS degree with applicable work experience
