One of my client is looking for Unix Administrator. Here is the
requirement.

Position : Unix Administrator
Location : San Jose,CA
Duraiton : 6 to 12 months

Job Description:

Rollout Enterprise Symantec Netbackup solution.
• Insures new releases and updates are thoroughly tested before
production implementation.
• Monitors total system performance, capacities and tune NetBackup and
devices where necessary.
• Test recovery capabilities to ensure integrity of backups and to
verify that recovery SLA's will be met.
• Maintains excellent communications at all times, provides technical
assistance, support, education, training, documentation and guidelines
for staff in the efficient and effective use of NetBackup.
• Run, monitor, and cancel or suspend NetBackup jobs.
• Investigate and resolve failed jobs in a timely manner.
• Run and monitor restore jobs.

Requirements:

• Must have managed the successful implementation of at least one
major Veritas NetBackup implementation.
• Requires working knowledge of VERITAS Netbackup 7.x
• Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as
using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape and data replication.
• Hands on experience with backup, restore & storage presentation in a
virtualized (VMware) environment.

• Must have 7+ years of Enterprise Backup experience using Veritas
Netbackup v5.X, v6.X, v7.X and RMAN
• Minimum 8 years experience on Unix and/or Windows systems
administration
• Knowledge of storage virtualization and data protection concepts.
• Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills,
with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-
technical senior management and staff.
• Very strong organization and prioritization skills.
