Position :  Drupal Developer 

Location: Nashville, TN

Duration : 6+ Months

 

Position Overview/Description:

·         We're looking for a talented web developer with primary experience in designing and developing asp.net based web applications and Drupal based web sites.

·         You'll be accountable for integrating the existing asp.net application with Drupal to take advantage of the social media features.

·         The ideal candidate must have excellent web programming skills and a solid work experience with Drupal.

·         He/She will work with both traditional and agile software lifecycle methodologies. Focus on optimizing architectural and design aspects of the applications, create design documents when required, perform coding, debugging and testing in VSTS environment.

·         Must be able to work independently and also in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to less experienced team members.

Role profile/Key Responsibilities:

·         Ability to develop and maintain web applications using asp.net.

·         Ability to integrate Drupal with the existing web application.

·         Ability to integrate Drupal with the existing desktop application.

·         Ability to manage the content publishing and localization in Drupal.

·         Ability to install and maintain Drupal on various environments.

·         Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate in both the business and technical environments.

·         Proven self-starter with demonstrated creative instincts; solid conceptual thinker; innovative.

·         Ability to work on multiple tasks, prioritizing and organizing these tasks to maximize productivity.

·         Must have a personality that works well and enjoys working directly with business users in an informal environment.

·         Ability to work independently as well as with a team of other technical resources.

·         Must possess strong time management, and leadership skills.

·         Must be a technologist that stays up to date with current development and technology trends and techniques.

 

Qualifications Required:

·         BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems or demonstrated industry hands-on experience.

 

 

Experience:

·         7+ years of experience in web application development.

·         4+ years of experience in Drupal programming.

·         3+ years of experience in asp.net development.

·         4+ years of experience in database development.

·         Strong experience in Drupal content publishing.

·         Strong experience in Drupal social media features.

·         Excellent knowledge in localization concepts.

Skill Sets:

 

·         Strong experience with Drupal, ASP.NET.

·         Strong programming experience with PHP, VB.NET, HTML, XHTML, Javascript.

·         Strong understanding of AJAX and XML.

·         Good knowledge and experience with JQuery.

·         Very good database programming experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 and MySQLServer.

·         Knowledge and experience of both formal and Agile development methodologies.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with senior customers, management and team members.

·          Ability to synthesize broad and narrow concepts of high complexity and use them to meet company objectives.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
