Job Title : Principal Reliability Engineer
Location : Memphis,TN
Duration : 01 Year ( Contract)
Pay Range : Negotiable
Design, Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) Coach Needed
Complete Project Description:
Design history file review to collect, review, and update as
necessary, risk assessment and Design FMEA documentation on existing
market released devices
Assure the timely, accurate and independent evaluation of product
performance and safety prior to clinical studies or market release
May provide leadership to others.
Assure the resolution of all issues raised by the testing.
Prepare, review and approve Reliability Predictions for assigned
projects.
Take on special projects in which only the results are specified and
complete them on schedule.
This may involve making presentations/recommendations to management.
Essential Job Functions:-
The role is responsible for advancing the state of the art of
methodologies of Design, Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) as
applied at Client.
The role will help lead the cultural change in product development
where these methodologies are embedded in our DNA.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop DRM competency across the sector by Piloting, Delivering and
Refining DRM concepts as part of the DRM deployment team.
Other duties:-
Piloting includes participating on multiple technology & product
development teams to pilot the application of DRM methods and tools
within Client and advance the science of DRM.
Coach teams or lead as example for other to learn from.
Delivering includes just-in-time (JIT) training & facilitation of DRM
methodology & tools on development programs. (May also participate in
delivering training courses).
Refining includes helping develop site-specific DRM materials/
architecture/metrics as necessary.
Support DRM Leader in execution of the Client DRM Roadmap to attain
long term goals as a strong advocate for DRM.
Champion the sharing and the adoption of best practices across Client
businesses to accelerate success.
Participate in organizational architecture and infrastructure to
support usage of the DRM methodologies by program teams.
Develop future talent in business units (Approx. 40% of time).
Participate in developing, maintaining and refining a project
tracking, progress reporting and certification process.
Work with other leaders across organization to ensure consistency of
project execution and the certification process. (Approx. 10% of
time).

Required / Desired Skills:-
" 10+ years of experience in the Reliability Engineering is required
" 5+ years of experience in Risk Management is required
" 10+ years of experience in Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
certification is required
" Product development experience - from concept to implementation is
required
" Engineering design experience is required
" Strong statistics background is required
" Reliability engineering experience is required
" Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) training and certification is required
" Demonstrated ability to deliver results by facilitating teams is
required
" Aptitude to learn and apply rigorous product development methods
(e.g. statistics, experimentation, simulation, etc.) is required
Required / Desired QUALIFICATIONS:
" 5 years of experience in BS Master's Degree in Engineering
" Master's Degree in Engineering.
" 5 years of Systems Engineer/Lead Engineer experience.
Nice to have:-
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.
