Title: Systems Analyst
Location: Hoston, TX
Duration: 6 months contract
Departmental Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead projects relating to NASCO Claims (including transactions
835 and 837).
Provide assistance to projects impacting NASCO Claims.
Provide responsive, reliable, and value-added NASCO Claims
production support.
Provide general subject matter expert (SME) help to BCBSM IT
and business units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business analysis, application architecture, design,
development, integration and delivery. Application maintenance
and support.
Responsible for requirements and functional architecture
analysis.
Involved in testing, training and implementation of applications.
Working independently within guidelines, formulates and
defines system scope and objective based on user needs and
thorough understanding of business processes.
Leads internal business groups on process improvement
projects designed o improve business results.
Provides high-level technical guidance concerning business
implications of application development projects.
Gathers and analyzes information and provides
recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a
specific business group.
Builds relationships with peers and their teams to ensure
objectives are achieved.
Under general direction and coaching, participates in
developing functional requirements, testing, training on and
implementation of applications.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
Minimum five (5) years related experience preferred.
Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written
communication skills.
A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required.
Extensive creativity required across areas of expertise.
Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform
this job.
