Job Title:        Netapp Consultant
Location:        New Jersey

Duration:        12+ months

Job Description:  

Skills and Experience:

•              Provide Tier 3 support for NAS storage, including but not limited to administering storage array architecture, storage allocations & monitoring storage infrastructure.

•              Responsible for resolving Tier 3 incidents and problems cases within storage services.

•              Responsible for managing projects such as installation, upgrades, filer migrations and decommissioning of equipment.  

•              Manages relationships with both internal and external product and service providers including the management of service delivery and support.

•              Participate in rotational, out of hours "on-call" support to sustain 24x7 global operations.

•              Ensures adherence to global standards and Service Level Agreements (SLA).

•              Executes global standards (hardware, software, tools, configurations, SOP's, IQ/OQ etc.) for NAS technologies.

•              Management of NetApp hardware, software and other storage environments.

•              Improve NAS services and related services.

•              Manages NAS Assets and CMDB

•              Support Merck's NAS DR program

•              Expert administration of:

o             CIFS/ NFS and Vfilers

o             SnapMirror and SnapVault functions and products

o             Capacity Management – Creation of Aggregates, Volumes, LUNS, and Qtrees

o             NetApp Clustering

o             Data Ontap 7.3 and 8.0
