Job Title: Applications Developer - This position has no managerial

responsibilities.
Manager Comments/ Expectations for interested candidates:
Looking for a permanent member of the staff.  Selected candidate must sit

onsite.  No remote work option will be considered.
Candidate must have experience with performance tuning (indexes),

partitioning (partitioning swapping), know code for bulk inserts &

updates, ETL, SQL loader.
UNIX experience must be proficient enough for FTP, email, and file

manipulation.
Data warehouse experience must include staging prior to becoming

operational in an enterprise data warehouse.  ODS to EDW.  Consultant

will be responsible for transformations (clean up) prior to adding to EDW.
The selected candidate will be working with a database that is

approximately 200 TB in range.
Candidate will be expected to provide examples during the interview to

show knowledge with the requirements listed.


Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical

discipline.
Equivalent work experience and/or technical training will be considered

in lieu of the degree


Essential Requirements:
8+ years experience programming in Oracle PL/SQL essential.
5+ years experience Data Warehousing programming essential.
5+ years experience working with very large Oracle 10g/11g databases

(VLDB) essential.
Programming experience in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL*Plus, UNIX/Linux

Shell Scripts essential.
Able to performance tune SQL queries essential.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining and debugging complex

programs essential.
Ability to translate business requirements into programming

specifications essential.
Possess a complete understanding and wide application of specialized or

technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field of Data

Warehousing.
Must be able to independently determine and develop approaches to

solutions following established procedures.
Proven record of leading technical teams on projects with responsibility

and accountability for a projects development effort is preferred.
Must have extensive experience with all phase of SDLC. This includes the

creation of documentation/artifacts related to each phase, SDLC best

practices, and standards.
Must have a proven record of technical and professional improvement.  A

record of mentoring team members is preferred.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Oracle certifications preferred.
Experience with Oracle Analytical functions – nice to have.
Experience with Informatica – nice to have.
Experience enhancing and maintaining legacy code written in Perl/AWK,

Korn shell script and even Cobol / VOS mainframe preferred.
Experience with terminal emulation tools (Hummingbird Exceed, PuTTY,

etc.).
Experience with Exadata environment.
Experience programming in Linux environments.
