Title : WebSphere Administrator
Location : Austin, TX
Duration : 3+ Months Contract
Skills / Attributes Required
3+ years of WebSphere administration experience
Administration experience in WebSphere 6.1 and above
WebSphere Network Deployment and Base versions (64-bit)
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, application and WebSphere issues
Experience with WebSphere hosted on Windows 2003
Ability to create scripts to automate repeated manual processes
Understanding of Netweaver / Pricing Systems / Vendavo / SAP a plus.
Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a hosting
environment for a corporate pricing application. They should be able to follow
established installation and troubleshooting methodologies. They should be
able to execute projects according to established businesses process
including testing, performing root cause analysis, and debugging processes to
resolve the issues. The candidate should be able to handle complex analysis
with little supervision and develop actionable recommendations based upon
the analysis performed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Build out of hosting environment for new application instances
Coordination with St. Paul teams to create HTTP Servers, Single Sign On
integration, and load balancing
Support existing instances in production, QA, stage and development
environments
Respond to off hours support requests
Monitoring / suggesting application server settings for stability and
performance
Help application teams monitor and improve performance
