Description:	Atlanta - 6-24 months! Sr Systems Engineer / Lead Systems Engineer o 6+ years solid WebSphere System Management & Architecture experience managing mission critical 24/7 applications o Experience of Retail domain will be an added advantage o In depth experience with WebSphere 5.6 & 7.x & familiarity with AIX, Unix, Linux, Solaris or other Unix type operating systems o Strong Experience with WebSphere, Extreme scale(WXS), Web Sphere Portal and RAFW o Unix System Administration experience in order to troubleshoot system problems. o Complete understanding of backup and recovery operational processes and technologies. o Configure / tune caching, DRS, thread pooling & JVM heaps Configure / tune J2C resource adapters, connection factories & MDB activation specifications o Fully configure & utilize Java Application Performance Monitoring products for troubleshooting, reporting, capacity planning & trending o J2EE, Soap, JMS knowledge a plus o Websphere Adminsitration - Websphere Portal Administration o Setup new application environments on AIX based WebSphere 5.6 and 7.x application servers o Work with Websphere Admin groups to setup procedures, scripts, best practices for smooth deployments. o Recommend changes to improve performance / stability & accommodate application designs o Coordinate performance testing of major software releases o Management of Web Sphere support tickets. o Tracking of Critical WebSphere patches. o Architecture help with Software implementation. o Advanced investigation & resolution of all application & environment issues for 24/7 mission critical applications utilizing IBM tools o Capacity and Stability reporting and design specific to Web Sphere servers and services. o Lead initiative to develop scripts and other programs for system monitoring and maintenance. o Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills o Has to be a team player and self-motivated o Interpersonal & Leadership Competencies o Ability to manage risk appropriately o Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
