Job : Micro strategy Tech Lead

Duration:  6+months

Description:

Microstrategy Tech Lead with hands on experience in Microstrategy BI tool and creating canned reports and metadata based reports. Capable of leading a team.

- Excellent Communication
- Ability to engage client application managers
- Ability to write Functional Requirements, MDDs etc
- Knowledge of Microstrategy Latest features and limitations
- Good presentation skills.
- Understands the agile development methodologies
- capable of providing detailed estimations using function point, used case or complexity point estimation methods

The candidate is expected to work with a team of Technology and Solutions Architects to build and test code in microstrategy Is expected to contribute for
1. Metadata Design
2. High Level and Detailed Level Design Documentation.
3. Coding and testing using Microstrategy
4. Bug fixing and work on issues
Should be able to
1. Contribute in design and architecture discussions
2. Have a fair understanding of Microstrategy tool and ability to understand architecture and design of metadata.
3. Should be hands on in using one of the key databases like ORACLE
4. Must have prior experience of at least 2 years working in project using microstartegy and metadata
5. Should be capable of leading a team on project deliverables with at least 2 years experience in doing so.
Should understand concepts
1. Operational Data Store and Reporting Database / Online transaction and analytical processing concepts
2. OLTP concepts of Entity and Referential Integrity and Normalization with familiarity of OR mapping concepts and related technologies
3. OLAP concepts of Star / Snow Flake and similar OLAP schemas and definition of dimensions & measures and their co-relation to facts & fact tables along with concepts of data scrubbing and importing using ETL
4. Familiar with usage of ETL its capabilities / advantage / disadvantages to be able to support a business case.
5. Familiar with differences between batch and online processing requirements and related optimizations in database as well as deciding how and when should the data be accessed for best performance.
Other Responsibilities:
* Prepare training materials and conduct trainings on technical areas
* Prepare Internal Certification materials and questionaires
* Help in proposal making and business development related activities
* Team leadership and planning & tracking of project tasks
