POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Provide in-depth analysis of complex issues, and recommend long-term permanent resolutions.
Provide in-depth analysis of complex issues, and recommend long-term permanent resolutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, design and implement SAN architecture.
Map out and organize the SANs infrastructure to meet new standards
Storage provisioning and availability, design and operational execution of DR, planning and coordinating for the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plan
Data migration
Analyze performance issues in a SAN environment; Performance tuning
Analysis of the environment and best practice knowledge transfer
Root Cause Analysis reviews
Implement and maintain high-availability solutions.
Perform proactive and predictive analysis.
Lead the implementation and the post-implementation production support environment.
Develop, document and implement enterprise level policies and procedures.
Perform installation and maintenance of patches on the storage and backup environments.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to the storage and backup environments.
Identify and resolve operational system and storage connectivity issues.
Create and maintain documentation of system hardware and supported environments.
Perform routine system analysis, and develop reporting metrics, using supplied tools, such as EMC Ionix ControlCenter.
Provide expert level on-call support.
Interface with vendors regarding complex issues, and see through until resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience as an EMC and NetApp storage administrator.
Strong understanding of storage allocation, administration and replication in a physical and virtual environment.
Must have experience providing storage solutions/infrastructure design and architecture
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Proven decision-making and problem solving skills.
Strong skills with technologies such as Avamar, Vplex, Celerra and various BMS Products.
General business knowledge with a background in supporting large enterprise environments.
Excellent customer service skills. Strong communications skills (verbal and written).
