Responsibilities

•        Participate in at least 3-4 phases of the development life cycle and the general activities associated with those phases.

•        Understand the inter-dependencies between each of the development life cycle phases

•        Provide input to the project manager when he/she is developing the project plan

•        Be able to code modules from loosely defined specifications

•        Be able to review and provide feedback on functional and technical documents/deliverables created by other team members

•        Be able to create requirements documents, design documents, test plans/cases, conceptual data models and effective SQL statements 

•        Propose suggestions to make the project more productive or successful to project management in a tactful manner.

•        Demonstrate a familiarity with Reengineering/Change acceleration tools and techniques, Performance metrics, scorecards, dashboards, creative problem solving techniques

•        Have demonstrated a detailed knowledge of and/or the ability to lead in the following concepts/skills:

·         Effective facilitation techniques

·         Training techniques

·         Process Mapping (current and future state)

·         Development of data flow diagrams (current and future state)

·         Communication strategies

•        Experience utilizing ETL tools to perform:

·         Data Migrations between Legacy and New Applications

·         Data Integrations related to Data Warehousing

·         Data Quality/Governance

•        Planning, analyzing and defining high-level software strategies and solutions through business, functional and technical expertise

•        Participating in and supervising the design and implementation of analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology

•        Implementing or supervising the implementation of the master data technical infrastructure

•        Integrating technical and application components

•        Designing the framework of a technical infrastructure

•        Assisting in researching potential vendors of software applications

•        Designing, coding and testing of program modules

•        Overseeing the creation, execution and documentation of tests

•        Recommending efforts in defining characteristics, capabilities, inputs, outputs, and results necessary to describe the required functionality of the selected technologies

•        Assisting in identifying, analyzing, mitigating and responding to project and operational risks

•        Assisting in utilizing efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve quality

•        Knowledge of Relational Databases and their interaction points with MDM tools

•        Deployment experience using ETL

•        Knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of other ETL and Data Migration Tools

Position Requirements

•        3-5 years of experience working with master and reference data projects to rationalize, consolidate, profile and cleanse master data (customer, product, well, asset, location, etc.)

•        Good understanding of what constitutes master and reference data (Master data may be the Customer Identifier, Product Identifier, Well Identifier, Location Identifier…) while the reference data is address, phone number, description, unit of measure, etc.)

•        Knowledge of master data management activities (profiling, cleansing, matching) and associated governance

•        Knowledge of master data management models (centralized, decentralized, federated) and pros/cons of the models including golden record concepts

•        Experience using one or more leading tools desired (Trillium, Kalido, SAP MDM, Global ID, Initiate, etc., with SAP MDM preferred)

•        Proficient in identifying, analyzing and solving problems.

•        Able to guide teams in data integration architecture and ETL performance tuning

•        Appreciation and understanding of how master data management should apply to both structured and unstructured data a plus

Competent in at least VB or C# .Net development environment
