Responsibilities
• Participate in at least 3-4 phases of the development life cycle and the general activities associated with those phases.
• Understand the inter-dependencies between each of the development life cycle phases
• Provide input to the project manager when he/she is developing the project plan
• Be able to code modules from loosely defined specifications
• Be able to review and provide feedback on functional and technical documents/deliverables created by other team members
• Be able to create requirements documents, design documents, test plans/cases, conceptual data models and effective SQL statements
• Propose suggestions to make the project more productive or successful to project management in a tactful manner.
• Demonstrate a familiarity with Reengineering/Change acceleration tools and techniques, Performance metrics, scorecards, dashboards, creative problem solving techniques
• Have demonstrated a detailed knowledge of and/or the ability to lead in the following concepts/skills:
· Effective facilitation techniques
· Training techniques
· Process Mapping (current and future state)
· Development of data flow diagrams (current and future state)
· Communication strategies
• Experience utilizing ETL tools to perform:
· Data Migrations between Legacy and New Applications
· Data Integrations related to Data Warehousing
· Data Quality/Governance
• Planning, analyzing and defining high-level software strategies and solutions through business, functional and technical expertise
• Participating in and supervising the design and implementation of analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology
• Implementing or supervising the implementation of the master data technical infrastructure
• Integrating technical and application components
• Designing the framework of a technical infrastructure
• Assisting in researching potential vendors of software applications
• Designing, coding and testing of program modules
• Overseeing the creation, execution and documentation of tests
• Recommending efforts in defining characteristics, capabilities, inputs, outputs, and results necessary to describe the required functionality of the selected technologies
• Assisting in identifying, analyzing, mitigating and responding to project and operational risks
• Assisting in utilizing efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve quality
• Knowledge of Relational Databases and their interaction points with MDM tools
• Deployment experience using ETL
• Knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of other ETL and Data Migration Tools
