Position: Sr. Java Developer

Locals are preferred - Omaha, NE

Duration: 3-6 months

 

Legal Visa Status: ONLY EAD / Green Card / US Citizen ONLY ( Contract to Hire )

 

I. General Summary:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business application systems, as well as testing and support of a diverse range of applications.  This position is also responsible for analysis of systems and for the coordination of project efforts.

 

II. Essential Job Functions:*

Design, code, and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to provide complex software enhancements.

Analyze and suggest improvements for products and processes.

Provide technical leadership and coaching to team members as well as solutions to complex software development problems.

Conduct code reviews in accordance with team processes/standards.

Construct and design documents and documentation to aid in maintenance and code reuse in accordance with team processes and standards.

Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration.

Develop strong working relationships with managers and analysts.

Provide leadership in the design and implementation of an array of applications.

Understand and work with data in with varying degrees of complexity and scale.

Test, modify, and support applications.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technology related area (Computer Science, Engineer, etc.) required.*

5 to 7 years of prior experience in web, data driven, or enterprise applications is required.*

Experience with XML, SQL and Unix scripting languages is required.*

Prior experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications preferred.
