Title: Web Developer with media/publishing agency experience

Duration: 3+ months

Location: NYC

Job Description:

MUST HAVE STRONG WEB DEVELOPMENT WITH JAVASCRIPT, XML, XHTML, CSS (WORDPRESS and DRUPAL A PLUS)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in the full lifecycle of software development – analysis, design, build, documentation and testing

Build templates in accordance with web standards, best practices, and internal technical guidelines

Work closely with project managers to identify technical tasks, provide work estimates, and development schedules for new products

Build internal tools and prototypes

Integrate with third-party applications, APIs, web services, and feeds

Test applications for performance and quality

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have experience developing high-traffic websites

Must be able to work and thrive in a fast paced environment

Thorough working knowledge of JavaScript, XML, XHTML and CSS

Experience using source control platforms

Strong understanding of open source platforms

Strong understanding of internet technologies, including but not limited to internet protocols, server configuration, networking, caching and DNS

Experience with and working knowledge of enterprise level content management systems

Vignette CMS experience a plus

Wordpress and Drupal experience a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

5-7 years of professional development

Ability to productively work in teams, Agile/Scrum experience a plus

Experience in media/publishing or agency a plus.
