Position: Senior Oracle DBA
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 1 year+

Daily Tasks:
Support critical and accelerated projects.
Create schemas or initiate database object changes in consultation with application project teams necessary to implement
database design.
Participate in database design / PL/SQL code reviews for projects and enhancements.
Resolve SQL performance and data issues as necessary.
Prepare development databases for project implementation.
Follow existing processes and procedures.
Duties also include SQL Tuning, troubleshooting, resolving errors and failures, documentation, knowledge sharing
Develop and modify existing Unix shell scripts (Korn shell)
Work with NOSQL databases.
Qualifications:
This posting is for a senior position with 5-7 years of DBA experience.
Experience with Oracle 11g databases and feature set.
Knowledge and Experience in Logical and Physical Data Modeling. Develop the Logical and Physical Data Models by working with
the application and business teams.
Strong Knowledge of Oracle Architecture and database design
Oracle Design tools such as ER Studio, Erwin
Strong Database Performance Tuning Skills.
Strong Database Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution skills.
Understanding of object oriented design
Experience with Oracle Replication , Dataguard setup
Good knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting.
Must Possess Strong SQL and PL/SQL Development skills.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Experience with NOSQL technologies is preferred.
