Job Title: Cognos Application Developer
Location: Schenectady, NY; Rochester NY
Duration: 3+ Months
Cognos Application Developer (must be onsite in Schenectady, NY; Rochester NY is no longer an option)
Local candidates preferred - NO EXPENSES PAID
Estimated start date: One week after offer acceptance (7/9/2012 ideal)
Assignment Summary
A "Cognos Archictect". Experienced individual who has deep experinence in Cognos 10 enviroment. Must be able to make decision regarding how to do
things (e.g. security design, cognos package organization & implementation approaches). We don't need someone who can explain the options, but
someone who can say "do it this way and here are my reasons".
Will will server as a mentor to remainder of the development team.
Essential Assignment Functions:
Cognos Security
Cognos Framework Manager
Cognos Report tools (Business Insight Advanced, Report Studio, Event Studio, Transformer, Analysis Studio)
Cognos Scheduling
Portals and appropiate use
Report Bursting Methodologies
Best practices / understanding of migrating packages and reports between environments
Other duties as required
Special Skills/Qualifications:
Health care experience strongly preferred.
Must have Cognos 10 experience.
Effective Mentor and Teacher
Ability to Clear explain approach alternatives with pro/con analysis
