RPG DEVELOPER 

Location : Rochester, NY 

Contract Period – 1 year

 

Position Detail:  - RPG Developer 

 

Develop and maintain integration solutions between a legacy iSeries AS/400 environment and our Websphere Process Server Enterprise Service Bus. 

 

•         This position is for a developer with RPG experience on the AS/400 to support API development for DPI Order Entry and Trouble Ticket/Plant applications to expose native DPI data and functionality to other system clients.

•         The ideal candidate would have programming background developing APIs in RPGIV, RPGLE, and CL, with previous telecom and/or DPI specific experience.

•         The candidate would work on full life-cycle projects including requirements, design, build, test and implement phases to meet due dates.

•         Strong interpersonal skills including team building, coaching and mentoring. 

•         Possess strong communication, analytical and organization capabilities. 

•         Considered a subject matter expert in team technologies and functions 

•         Proven ability to apply technology and concepts to communicate with executive teams. 

•          Analytical ability to report statuses being a point of  contact between business and technical personnel blended with documentation skills
