Amzur Technologies, a Tampa, FL, custom software development and IT staffing firm, seeks a seasoned Senior QA Analyst for a potentially very long-term contract position based in Tampa, FL.

 

Candidates must be poised and confident – capable of working in a high energy environment and with the capacity to endure a spirited interview process.  You must be ready to take you position and defend it – shrinking violets – shy, quiet types will not excel here.  If you know QA from the top down, possess excellent communication skills and an abundance of confidence, then we want to hear from you.

 

Job Purpose:

 

The Quality Assurance Analyst develops, publishes, and implements test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications throughout the full lifecycle of the software. You will:

 

·         Work on all of our client's applications, including new and in production

·         Write and maintain test automation.

·         Publish test results

·         Develop quality assurance standards

·         Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

 

Duties:

•                    Develops, implements, and maintains manual and automated quality assurance testing methodologies and systems to ensure the accuracy and stability of software applications.

•                    Prepares test designs based on documented requirements and interviews with Project Management and Development teams

•                    Reviews requirement documents and provide feedback to ensure requirements are testable. 

•                    Recommends methodologies and software for automated testing and defect tracking.

•                    Develops system, regression, and performance test plans and detailed test scripts on multiple projects of various sizes.

•                    Prepares queries to access databases.

•                    Searches source code as needed.

•                    Executes manual tests. Communicates application errors in a clear and concise manner.

•                    Analyzes results, draws conclusions from test results, and makes recommendations. Ensures that no defective products are moved to production

•                    Independently work to ensure all product releases have been thoroughly tested against requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

 

•                    B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science

•                    Advanced working knowledge of software testing methodology, Designs, and Implementations

•                    Excellent oral and written communication skills

•                    Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills

•                    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

•                    5+ years' experience in software testing and quality assurance

•                    3+ years designing and implementing test plans, scripts, and scenarios

•                    2+ years writing service level agreements (SLAs) and analyzing performance data

•                    2+ years Problem report tracking software (Mercury, Rational)

•                    2+ years LoadRunner , WinRunner, LinkRunner 4.07

•                    4+ years working knowledge of Microsoft Windows testing platforms

•                    Testing experience with IE , Firefox, Chrome and industry standard browsers

•                    Experience with Mercury Quality Center and Quick Test Professional desirable
