Job Title : Web Application Developer with Set Top Box (STB)
Location : Sunnyvale, CA
Duration : 3-6+ Months

Duration : 3-6+ Months
Role/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging of Web based software product. Development includes, but is not limited to, software tools, application programming interfaces, graphical user interfaces, and cross platform communication. Programming languages that are appropriate for the platform and function are employed.
3-5+ years' experience in developing Web software using HTML (HTML5), CSS (CSS3) and "OO JavaScript"
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and concepts around Inheritance, Prototype Chain, Closure, Name Spacing etc.
Set top box application development experience is required
Experience building high-performance JavaScript code that works across major browsers including IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari
Able to clearly discuss designs with leads and architects and create prototypes as needed
Experience with creating re-usable JavaScript components
Experience with JavaScript libraries/toolkits, such as jQuery, JSON, AJAX, YUI, or Google Closure JS template library
Uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
Customer and Peer Group Interaction
Within own team and peers within entire organization and external peers. May have limited contact with user and customer peers and first management level.
People Management/Supervision Expectations:
Individual Contributor position.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
Carries out routine and semi-routine tasks.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
