Position: Windows Admin

Location; Seattle, WA

Duration: 6 Months

 

Responsibilities

Application Compatibility testing for Windows 7 and Windows 8

Application remediation using AppDNA, MS ACT or Flexera Adminstudio tool

Shim based remediation and troubleshooting remediation issues

Packaging/Repackaging applications by creating MSI files using application packaging tool

Handle UAT and QA coordination for application packaging, testing

Coordination with application SME for functional testing and UAT sign off

Deployment, up-gradation and maintenance of packaged MSI files using SCCM and SMS

Application testing/packaging lab infrastructure setup and coordination with customer

 

Tools and technologies

SCCM

Flexera AdminStudio tool for packaging and compatibility testing

AppDNA

Wise Package Studio 8

Visual Basic Script, WinBatch 2010, FileMon, RegMon, Orca

 

Position: Windows 7 Migration Lead

Location: NY

Duration: 6 Months

 

JD:

* Windows 7 Migration timeline Strategy and Planning.

* Pilot Deployment - Planning, Monitoring and Control.

* Liaise with the Application Remediation representative.

* Stakeholder Management, Escalation, Issue, Risk Management.

* Chairing meetings with LOB Managers, Status reporting and Communication.

 

The successful candidate will need to be able to clearly articulate objectives, requirements and risks & issues. The role involves preparing and delivering presentations on a regular basis so a confidence in communication and delivery is important.
