Role: Spring/vFabric Sr. Consultant

- vFabric generalist
- Spring Integration
- Core Spring
- Need to review / coach.

 

Senior consultant level, with good understanding of vFabric products.

	- Good opportunity to expand the relationship  (Sales and Technical)
	- Up to speed on the 5.1 release and impact on the API
	- Knowledgeable on products and new features
	- Technically good, develop roadmaps, find additional projects there.
	- Looking for early January start
	- Want someone local if possible, or within a few states to reduce travel, and be on-site.

 

VFabric Resident:

The vFabric Resident will be have significant technical architectural expertise in VMware vFabric 5.1 products as well as the 5.1 API and will provide Partner and the Customer with 5.1 assistance on where APIs may have changed or how the Partner and the Customer can work to integrate 5.1 functionality into the  Customer's environment.

 

The vFabric resource will assist Partner and Customer as needed and as time permits with:

·      Conduct knowledge transfer regarding the capabilities, usage and best practices of vFabric Toolset

·      Conduct knowledge sharing access to vFabric technical experts during the engagement

·      Assist with faster, more successful adoption of the latest vFabric toolset (as compared to adoption without VMware assistance)

·      Provide examples and prototypes deployed to a development and/or test environment which reflect technologies and features recommended for the Customer

·      Provide best practices for the maintenance and upgrade of vFabric and its suite of products

·      Provide hands-on support for the planned vFabric architecture and vFabric stack

·      Assist with designing solutions using VMware cloud products

·      Provide advice and guidance with modernization efforts around Client Service Orchestrator, Modularize Service Orchestrator

·      Identify additional opportunities to use modern tools that can be configured for shorter development timelines;  for example modern Java Frameworks such as Spring Framework and Spring Integration

·      Identify code quality improvements by introducing Spring Framework 3.x to codebase

·      Provide knowledge in the use of Spring Integration framework to handle threading

·      Provide guidance with automated unit testing tools as needed with unit testing

·      Assist in mocking of services to improve development velocity by creating "mocked" interfaces that can be used to expose functionality to other systems

·      Assist in quantifying improvements in code quality; lower number of defects, improved performance, and faster development cycles

·      Assist with Java threading issues - implement Spring Integration to handle threading

·      Assist with resource contention issues - implement resource pools

·      Assist with Oracle locking contention issues -  Use Spring AOP Transaction/Introduce GemFire
