Title: Data Integration / Informatica ETL Developer/Architect - Locals Preferred

Duration: 5+ months

Location: Oakbrook, IL

Job Description:

• Participate in the architecture, design, development and testing effort of building Interfaces (Data Integration) between client applications and Longview for the Budgeting Tool project.

• Work with the Business and the Data Analyst, Vendors and IT Data Integration team to gather requirements and analyze the business needs.

• Translate the business needs into technical specifications and document the design and the architecture.

• Work with the Data Analyst and the Data Architects to understand the data model and the source to target mapping requirements.

• Architect and design an ETL framework to support the seamless data integration between the environments and incorporate custom logging, error messaging, auditability.

• Design and Develop the Informatica workflows, mappings and sessions for the Interfaces.

• Develop Unit Test plans and data to test the mappings.

• Provide Support during the QA and UAT phase of the project.

• Prepare and maintain system documentation in accordance with the DI team procedures.

• Work with the vendor to resolve any Informatica issues.

• Provide assistance with production implementation and cutover.

• Provide regular status updates to the project team.

• Provide technical Knowledge Transfer to offshore and onshore team members.

Qualifications

• 10 or more years of overall IT experience in software development with demonstrated evidence of increasing growth and responsibility.

• 6+ years of significant experience within ETL/Data Integration architecture in Informatica tool (8.6 or higher).

• 4+ years of direct experience as a designer/architect for ETL, Data Integration.

• 3+years of IT technical administration in system architecture, design and development

• Full life cycle experience in Data Integration, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence

• Ability to develop technical design documents and unit test cases.

• Design, Develop and test mappings for the data integration projects.

• 1-2 yrs. of strong SQL Server (2000/2005/2008) experience desired.

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Visio desired.

• Good interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism.

• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

• Good time management skills, i.e. the ability to take on and prioritize several tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Results-oriented; takes initiative.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to adapt to change.

• Willing to work additional hours, when needed.

Key Important Factors, Required

• Hands on Lead experience in Informatica (8.6 or higher) - Design and Development

• Experience in ETL development and data conversion projects

• Strong ETL architecture skills

Other Important Factors, Nice to Have

• Experience in working with Budgeting tool such as Longview would be helpful.
