Job Description:
Our Corporate Headquarters has an immediate opening for a Senior Sharepoint Developer. This role reports to a Manager in the Information Services department.
Essential Functions:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the application and technology goals, networks, hardware standards, operating systems, systems development tools and environments.
- Thoroughly review business and system requirements to obtain full understanding of business needs, including direct interactions with customers.
- Create level of effort (LOE) and duration estimates for assigned work. Proactively manage activities to meet those expectations.
- Design application enhancements that fully implement business requirements.
- Modify existing and develop new software components.
- Documentation including specifications, release management and bug tracking
- Ensure software documentation is correctly completed.
- Ensure unit testing of application development work is correctly completed.
- Provide development support for analysis, functional testing and load testing.
- Perform systems analysis and functional testing as needed.
- Communicate and work with graphic developers to create user interfaces
- Problem diagnosis and resolution
- System maintenance and after-hours support, as needed
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Expert level skills with Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2010, configuring and developing
- Demonstrated experience creating custom SharePoint 2007 and 2010 web parts
- 6+ years of web development experience using web technologies and languages (.net, c#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS)
- 3+ years of experience with intranet/Internet site development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL server
- Internet Information Server (IIS) experience preferred
- Understands issues related to scalability and reliability
- Experience integrating SharePoint 2007/2010 with Office 2007 & 2010 preferred
- Extensible Markup Language (XML), Extensible Style Language (XSL) experience preferred
Desired Skills:
- Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and other Microsoft server products
- Omniture experience
- ITILv3 certifications
- Code Smith / code generation technology
- NUnit
- Code coverage using Uncover
- Experience with latest & future technologies a plus, i.e.
- VS.NET 2010
- Mobile application development
