Job Title - SAP Functional Analyst (Business Consultant to work on an SAP R/3 ECC 6 implementation. This is a functional analyst role)

Duration – 6+ months

Location - Boston,MA & Santa Clara,CA

No of Position - 2 positions

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities -

 

Ø  Candidate will provide business system analysis and functional support for SAP ECC.  

Ø  Candidate will support the business process and information technology needs required by EMC to meet their operational, tactical and strategic objectives by providing the following services:

Ø  As part of an SAP R/3 ECC 6.0 Implementation, the ideal candidate will work with the business resources and development teams to define processes, configure the application, define functional specifications, plan and perform testing activities and test modules and then manage and support defect resolution during testing and production. 

Ø  Must have 6+ years of SAP configuration.

Ø  Execute configuration requests for SAP

Ø  Assist in gathering, documenting and clarifying business requirements.

Ø   Creating functional designs using a disciplined application implementation methodology

Ø  Translating system requirements into unit and function test scripts.

Ø  Executing unit test scripts, and supporting function and user acceptance testing

Ø  Provide training to end users and create end-user documentation 

Ø  Assist project managers in identifying tasks and developing project plans

Ø  Lead cross functional business and technical teams to deliver the selected solution

Ø  Assist project managers in the execution of project tasks and communicate issues and status in a timely manner

Ø  Represent IT as the principal technical contact and perform technical project leadership role.

Ø  Must have ability to effectively prioritize work assignments and work in a team environment.

Ø  Candidate should possess excellent problem solving skills. 

Ø  Must work under minimal direction and exercise considerable latitude and provide technical expertise in developing business solutions.

Ø  Must provide work leadership to others and interface with senior management to provide and obtain information to build consensus regarding project direction.

 

Education/Experience

 

* BA/BS in computer science or equivalent with 6-8 years of related experience and knowledge gained from utilizing system development methods in a global environment

* Exposure to and working knowledge of Manufacturing related applications with cross-functional experience

* 6+ years experience customizing and configuring utilizing SAP Application Analysts standards and tools

* Minimum two full cycle SAP implementations Skills Candidate must have:

* Expert knowledge of the underlying tables and vanilla processes in SAP ECC

* Experience with EDI & external manufacturing Strong analytical sills combined with a sense of urgency and high energy level

* Strong technical aptitude

* Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to articulate technical concepts to business leaders

* Business analysis experience and ability to write business requirements and functional specs

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

* Willing to work extra hours when required

* Working knowledge of SQL

*Plus and tables underlying the modules above

* Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications preferred

* Experience using an implementation methodology for at least 1 full life-cycle implementation preferred

* Ability to multitask

* Experience with SAP including Order Management, Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (MM-IM), Warehouse Management (WMS), Shipping and Logistics (SD, LE) and Quality Management (QM) (some or all

* Strong product / technology / industry knowledge

* Appropriate understanding of computer architecture

* Leadership skills

* Ability to influence others to achieve results Candidate must be team oriented but also have the ability to work independently. 

 *Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment. 

 *Must be customer focused and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
