This is a republish to the "Intentional Community Research and Development" group from an article I wrote for Yes Mag last summer chronicling 3 Bay Area cohousing communities.

Something on the lighter side, but I think it is ultimately related to the issue of creating the kind of world where, as one of the folks in the article states, "we're able to pool resources, and not just buy your way out of everything."
