Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle 11g in Windows, and Unix/Linux environments and MS SQL Server 2008.
- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL and TSQL programming.
- Expert in SQL queries tuning, tracing and resolving locking problems.
- Experience with management and maintenance of database backups.
- Expert in managing data using stored procedures and triggers and other utilities based on SQL.
- Familiarity with data partitioning, Virtual Private Databases, RAC.
- Good working knowledge of DB Tools/Utilities (e.g., Toad for Oracle, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Data Pump, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Profiler).
- Experience in working based on business requirements: data modeling for OLTP and reports, writing complex SQL queries.
- Working knowledge of ETL tools
- Ability to identify root causes of DB problems remotely without having direct DB access (over phone, emails, communicator)
- Must be comfortable working both individually as well as in an Agile/Scrum environment side by side with application developers.
- Must be able to work on tasks coming from different directions, plan and effectively manage priorities
