Urgent Direct Client Need

C++ Network Developer
Work location: Austin, Texas
Duration: 12 months

Person is expected to have worked on networking topology from physical layer to application layer. Must have had extensive hands-on experience in C++ programming and object oriented design. Development experience on a Linux, UNIX, VxWorks or RTOs. Experience in any of the following areas: TCP / IP, Layer 2 LAN protocols like MSTP, RSTP, PVST, LACP, VRRP, Layer 3 protocols like RIP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast routing - PIM-SM, PIM-DM, DVMRP, MPLS , IPV4, IPV6, Video, Cable, RF Gateway .Layer 4 . 7 protocol optimization. Experience in area related to device fail over, clustering, capacity building, and load balancing designing. Must be flexible to work in early or late office hours, when required must have initiative and willingness to work overtime during required periods to achieve project milestones Ability to work and communicate well with the other members of the team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Skill/Technologies required

1. C/C++ programming language in Linux environment
2. L2/L3 Switching & Routing, Virtualization/virtual-routers, 802.1Q, MPLS, Q-in-Q, 802.3ad Link-Aggregation, Traffic-Shaping/QoS, 802.11 b/g/n, MPLS, VRRP, Redundancy
3. SOAP/TCP/IP (IPv6 & IPv4), SMTP, HTTP, RADIUS, ICMP, DHCP, DNS, etc
4. Linux/Unix shell-scripting
5. TCP/IP Socket programming
6. Oracle & SQL
7. CVS, SVN and Git
8. Hands-on experience on Agile development methodologies like SCRUM, iterative development
9. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Roles and Responsibilities
1. To work with customer and deliver functionality as outlined in the SRS
2. Should be able to work independently on assigned tasks under customer's direct supervision
3. Understand and learn application intricacies to take up development at a fast pace
4. Adhere to and work as per customer guidelines and processes
