Job Description

Wholesale Finance is headed by Dale Pearce and provides Finance support and consultation to the Wholesale Banking organization. The Pricing and Profitability team within Wholesale Finance Solutions supports the Relationship Pricer application and legacy Relationship Profitability tools used by the Wholesale Banking organization to manage relationship profitability. The group is in the process of evolving to the new ProfitView profitability system.

 

This position will focus on the profitability reporting process and the migration of existing functionality into the new ProfitView application, including support of the legacy Relationship Profitability Reporting as needed.

 

The person in this position will partner closely with the ProfitView implementation teams to support Line of Business releases by thoroughly understanding their Business Requirements and ensuring each release fulfills business expectations. The position requires a balance of strong business/finance skills along with a solid understanding of databases and systems and the ability to communicate effectively across groups.

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Reviewing/Creating Business Requirements and Use Cases

·         Reviewing Functional Specification Designs, Data Models, Data Mappings, Architectural Documentation

·         Creating UAT Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts

·         Performing UAT Execution, Defect Management

·         Financial Reconciliation and Data Validation using SQL

·         Participate in the testing and business checkout of each major release and dot-release

·         Providing Level 2 end user support as needed

 

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of experience in business systems analysis and/or design

 

Minimum Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Familiarity and understanding of Financial Business Intelligence and Analysis tools

Solid understanding of relational database concepts

Hands-on experience with SQL and querying multi-dimensional databases

Strong understanding of customer profitability and cross-sell

Experience working with system development life cycle processes

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while also working independently

Candidate must be able to thrive in ambiguity and keep up in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

 

Preferred Skills

Degree in related field

Strong in Financial Statement Analysis

Hands-on experience with BI tools, particularly Oracle OBIEE, OFSAA, or COGNOS

Familiarity and understanding of Wholesale banking organization and products

Relevant work experience directly involved in banking customer/product life cycle management

Project/process management experience
