Title: Security Administrator

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: New York City, NY

Job Description:

Minimum of 7 years equivalent work experience.
Broad hands-on knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), DLP tools, log management tools and other industry-standard techniques and practices.
In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols.
Hands-on experience with devices such as hubs, switches, and routers.
Knowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to data privacy and protection.

Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or minimum of 7 years equivalent work experience.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Active Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Checkpoint Firewall
Desired: Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE), Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Security+, Global Information Assurance Certificate (GIAC), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Unix Administration, Microsoft (MCSE).
