Job Description:

Provide leadership, expertise and direction on one or more projects. Offer expert-level project management oversight and directly influence activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close. Use industry-standard best practices in order to assure delivery of project goals and objectives, and milestones and deliverables, as well as compliance with internal project management processes. Use SCRUM/Agile techniques for managing solution delivery aspect of the project. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Direct all facets of project development.
Support effort to develop schedule, budget, staffing requirements, etc. Provide thought leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle in support of business plans and customer initiatives. Work closely with the product owner and QA to establish the acceptance criteria for all user stories Work closely with QA to ensure that all user stories are verified before the end of the sprint; Ensure that the user stories in the backlog are prioritized and estimated, which includes scheduling and facilitating the planning poker sessions Track the team's velocity, understand the deltas between sprints, and react accordingly; Create and manage key SCRUM artifacts such as burndown chart, product backlog and team velocity charts. Ensure the project team is high motiv
vated. Estimate, budget and control costs so that the assigned project is completed within the approved budget or within established variance parameters, by using available systems, tools and reports to monitor and manage the project's financial health (Project Cost Management). Generate timely and appropriate communications to stakeholders, customers and interested executives by collecting, analyzing, distributing, and storing all project documentation, status reports / performance reporting and managing stakeholder expectations (Project Communications Management). Conduct project risk management processes.
Establish a risk management plan, implement risk mitigation processes to avoid issues and perform ongoing risk management planning, identification, risk analysis, risk response planning and risk monitoring and control procedures. Education & Experience: Required: 7+ years in project management/program management. 4+ years experience applying SCRUM/Agile based techniques to project management . Preferred: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) Preferred. Certified SCRUM Master qualification preferred. Knowledge
& Skills: Expert knowledge in industry-standard trends and best practices in project management. Outstanding communication and decision making skills. Propagates information promptly, clearly, and unambiguously. Keen ability to work with others in order to achieve a common goal, resolve conflicts and manage cross-functional and external relationships; Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence without authority. Ability to develop and foster teamwork. Able to diagnose, understand, and facilitate team dynamics.


Advanced ability to solve problems by considering available information, prioritizing and making timely decisions; correlates data using standard business tools and approaches, spots trends and applies sound risk management principles.
Other Requirements: US Citizenship required. Job Tools: Hands-on experience with typical project management planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Clarity, PlanView, Primavera, etc. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with experience using Excel pivot tables and creating PowerPoint presentations.
Physical Requirements: * Denotes any physical requirements needed to perform essential duties Average 2 to 3 nights travel per month, and occasionally more, as deemed necessary.

AProduct Owner is one of three core roles in Scrum. The other two are that of Scrum Master and Scrum Team. A Product Owner plays a crucial role in the success of a Scrum project. It is not a separate title but is a role that can be performed by a business analyst, or even a representative of an end user.
